Time to Act Team = a team of 2 young adults who have chosen to take part in a challenging but rewarding gap year programme. Hosted by a local church, this team is trained by Act 4 to reach out into the community through school presentations. This is supported by an ongoing range of community based activities that our teams take part in, as they equip local churches in their aim to reach out to children.
Act 4 has a long and deep history in Potters Bar. In 2003 Act 4 took on the challenge of reaching out to primary aged children with a message that we believed could have a massive impact in their lives. Inspired by the practical nature of Christian values, Act 4 set out to make these real to children.
Over 10 years on we are now working regularly with 20 local schools. Our relationships with local schools mean that we are able to add to the learning they provide for the children, through our creative presentations, benefiting faith and non faith schools equally.
The teams work in schools links to their work in the community. Working with our host churches, Potters Bar and Brookmans Park United Reformed Church, our teams take part in Rainbows, Brownies, Messy Church, Youth Clubs, Creative Church, Sunday Schools, and community events such as Darkes Fayre and Town Carols.
